ita, i hope you find some relief. i'm sending all the ~ma in me in your direction.
ita, lots of ~ma. Sorry you ended up in the ER.
Kat, I'm firmly in the anti-mosquito camp. I want a bug zapper because our backyard is teeming as well. And I swell--badly.
glad you are in a room with no light ,ita
Thanks for the ~ma, guys. I'm channelling it towards the new doc who's never written for 6mg dilaudid before.
Do mosquitoes do anything useful?

From the mammal's POV? No. But I suppose the West Nile virus finds it rather accommodating.
They feed bats, which are fairly cool. billytea could probably give us more reasons.
I should also get a bat house for the yard.
Well, you know how they tell you not to kill the lizards because they kill something more annoying--mosquitoes are pretty much the more annoying, huh?
The attending came in and ran a quick neuro check. Not sure what that's about. I mean, why it's split between docs. I'm figuring the attending outranks the first doc who talked to me, and certainly the chit of a girl who accompanied him.

Nah, they're just parasitic bastidges. :-) Really, about the only thing they really contribute to other animals is being food for larger critters (notably dragonflies). Other than that, they're a disease vector.
