Man, Pico seemed better Friday and yesterday, now he's hiding behind the futon in the basement and refusing to eat again. I guess we're going back to the vet.
Also, I would like someone come to my house and do my laundry.
Shit. The Mets are getting swept by the fucking Padres.
Huh. We have a seiche warning in effect. I had to read the article to find out what that is....
The National Weather Service on Sunday afternoon warned people to evacuate docks, piers and break walls along the Lake Michigan shore in Cook County, saying dangerous flooding could be imminent.
The thunderstorm that moved through the Chicago area Sunday afternoon pushed Lake Michigan water ahead of it so that lake levels dropped by about 2 feet, triggering a warning from the National Weather Service for people along the lake shore to beware of when that water comes sloshing backāan effect called a "seiche."
"It's kind of like when you slosh water in a bathtub," said weather service meteorologist Mark Ratzer.
The seiche warning remains in effect along the Cook County shore until 9 p.m.
I am in the Seattle airport, after a fun weekend. I need a transporter though because I hate knowing that the weekend is over but I won't be home for 5 hours.
Parts of the Maritimes (hundreds of miles away from where I am) have had tornado watches today. Tornados are totally unheard of here.
Shit. The Mets are getting swept by the fucking Padres.
