Ha! I didn't know she was named Momo.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh Scrappy, I'm sorry for the whole family.
WRT parenting books, I haven't read it, but I know peeps what like that Talking to Kids so They'll Listen, Listening to Kids so They'll Talk book. I know I myself am not a model for how to get a willful child to behave. Sometimes I say the right thing and they just are great, sometimes they aren't. They do know that I will follow through on punishments meted out (usually a time out to cool off or the immediate loss of a toy or something) so they tend to behave once I've said, "if I have to say it again..." but that's not a win in my book. I hate being the heavy. I prefer when I can find a way to get chores done/kids out the door/whatever it is in such a way that they feel they've done good.
First of all, I need this dress: [link]
Second of all, I have my outfit for dinner so I need to stop trolling ebay.
Overheard on campus (special Just-For-Aims edition): "There's this play -- it has the guy who plays Harry Potter, only he's totally naked. But of course I told my parents I'm going to New York to do an internship."
Anybody want to play armchair psychiatrist? Or let me vent?
I'm irrationally/justifiably irritated with BFF. She's moving to L.A. with the douchebag-which is whatever...congrats on the job, but I hate that she's moving with him. She pretty much talks like she's making rational decisions like waiting until douche has been 6 months sober (it's been less than 2), not moving with him, but on her own (they are going to share an apartment), after 3 months she'll get her own place (she's told our other friend that they will get another place together). It's not really lying because I don't really have a stake, but it feels really shifty and shady, and quite frankly, makes me feel like we aren't BFF.
Then there's other things, like kinda cutting us out, drifting away from us. The Freudian slippage about replacing us in a year. Saying she'd come to a going away HH for her, and then dropping it because she's decided to leave in 2 weeks instead of 3. We're still scheduling a going away dinner during the week, but I feel really unenthusiastic about it. Like, a bit hostile even.
But of course I told my parents I'm going to New York to do an internship."
Who said people don't learn things in college?
Ugh, DJ. I dunno what else to say but ugh.
GC, it's hilarious to me that you call your Momo Mo, and we call our Mo Momo. (Our Mo is about 7 lbs of cat.)
Ha! I didn't know she was named Momo.
Ayep. She is very Momo-like, even though she is all black.

Ha! That is funny! We typically include the in it ("the Mo") - I'm not sure why, but it kind of stuck.
