Mal: Zoe, why do I have a wife? Jayne: You got a wife? All I got is that dumbass stick sounds like its raining. How come you got a wife?

'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I second Amy's rec. When Lillian was younger, especially, I called it "The Manual."

It's excellent.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Vortex, thank you for the reminder of the pretty, pretty people. The pics of John Barrowman in kilts makes me think he should film an enactment of this [link] folk song.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Never mind, we're 1000 away from a new thread....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You're a whiner in love, vw bug. It'll wear off.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I just signed up for okcupid. I dread filling out the about me info.

I don't know the okcupid site, but most of the dating sites I signed up to had some info to help you put together your profile. Could be useful to look it up.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

VW Bug, to answer the question you kept almost asking, according to google (so you know this is not deeply researched) yes it is a possible cause. And, something you may not have thought of, if it was not the cause, transmission the other direction is possible too.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Trudy, I meant to say earlier that I'm glad your mother is doing better.

Hear, hear. And I'm really glad it's your sister that is being driven up the walls by your mom's not-staying-in-bed tendencies.

OKCupid is pretty cool, (a)because it's free, (b) because there are fun questions to answer and (c) because i met the current girl there, and she is the only person I have ever met on the internet and actually ended up sleeping with!

We won at trivia tonight--it was a packed house. TEN teams! We won $56! And it was a very close game, there was a tie for second and we only won by one point!!!!

And I have to be on a plane in...six and a half hours. Which means I have to be at the airport in five and a half hours. Which means I have to leave my house in five hours. And be awake in...um....four and a half? Eep?
