OKCupid is pretty cool, (a)because it's free, (b) because there are fun questions to answer and (c) because i met the current girl there, and she is the only person I have ever met on the internet and actually ended up sleeping with!
We won at trivia tonight--it was a packed house. TEN teams! We won $56! And it was a very close game, there was a tie for second and we only won by one point!!!!
And I have to be on a plane in...six and a half hours. Which means I have to be at the airport in five and a half hours. Which means I have to leave my house in five hours. And be awake in...um....four and a half? Eep?

Maybe a very passive aggressive stance of delaying the presentations as much as possible. Let the folks who got in on time go first, and be speedy, and then for late folks, wait a LONG time between presentations, needle the hell out of them with questions, and help them understand the meaning of respecting others times.

That's a very pretty mental picture, but I feel sure it isn't quite practical for the pedestrian vs. Segway traffic issue.
Spike strips (Spike? stripping ... now THAT's a happy place!) while tempting, aren't the answer ... 'cause I'm walking on the sidewalk as well. Just heard this morning that, although there's a law, seemingly there's no one to enforce it. So ... maybe I'll start wearing a bike helmet and pads when I go out on the sidewalk.
Trudy, glad your mother's well enough to be home, although if she'd stay in bed it would be a good thing.
Vortex, isn't there something you can do to bend the stupid students to your will? I like the idea of making them sit around someplace waiting on your pleasure. Maybe make sure that their presentations come last and have to be hurried through? sabotage them (mess up their color schemes, rearrange the slides, etc.)?
