And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

erin when Persey came home from the shelter she was very sneezy. Vet said all shelter cats have the sneezes so I tried not to worry and I haven't heard her sneeze in a couple weeks now.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Lots of surgery and recovery~ma to your mother, sj, and lots of general coping~ma to you, because it's got to be so stressful for you too. (Also, I've been keeping the moving-in-smoothly~ma headed east, because the whole moving in process definitely doesn't end on moving day.)

Everybody's cats, stop sneezing (unless you are a wee little kitten, in which case it's really kind of cute, just don't do it in the humans' faces).

brillig

Amon had horrible sneezes when we brought him home, but he got over them in about a month. Now he's perfectly happy and apparently healthy and leaps up on the car when I pull in the driveway in a very "You cough up my Mommy right now, you big brown box thing!" sort of way.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Surgery~ma for your mother, sj.

You guys have jinxed my cat. He's sneezed twice in the past 15 minutes and then I come in here and find out your cats are sending their colds through the interpipes. Sharing is not caring, people!

I have to rescind my offer of a free cat thing. D says he plays with it all the time. In fact they're playing with it right now AIFG!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

IOcatN, my cats are apparently falling up the stairs. Also, the parade that went down our street this morning, I more or less slept through, except that I heard it in my dreams, and I was aware that Sammie was seated on the headboard, looking out the window, watching the parade herself. I think she may have been watching the horses, thinking, "Yeah, I could take 'em."

sj, best of ~ma to your mom and you.

random drunk question...

Hand jobs, do they exist? They make a great punchline but have you ever or do you know anyone who has actually given or received one?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

After spending most of the weekend in Sunnyvale watching Emmett's tournament, I stayed home instead of dragging JZ and Matilda down there in Memorial Day traffic for the championshp game. (Which Emmett's team won - huzzah! Yet another trophy for his display - which, frankly, already has more trophies than most high schools. It's good to be Emmett.)

Matilda's been a super bossy fussaboo today, but now she's down and I'll be having some gin and rubbing lotion into my sunburned ears.
