Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

One more hivemind question and I'll leave you alone. We bought too many hamburger patties last night. They were already frozen, so we threw them in the fridge to thaw. Will the un-used burgers be okay for Monday? They were frozen solid when I put them in there, and they haven't left the fridge since.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

They should be fine, Pix.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

They'll be fine for Monday.

Have you tried icing that eye? I know it's an allergy and not an injury, but it might help, and it'll probably feel good, too.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

{{{Kristin}}} Maybe you could wear a patch! Aaarrrrr!

We have achieved kittenness. We got a tiny black kitty that has a bit of an eye infection and is a little underweight. Her name is Momo (shout out to my Avatar peeps!). The vet couldn't see her today, so we are going in Monday AM. I was thinking of dousing a cotton ball or QTip with saline solution and swabbing her eye. Thoughts?

Compassionately intolerant

Sweet kitty rescue. Yay for all of you Glamcookie.

I think the saline solution is a great idea. Cotton ball, not q-tip, just in case of sudden moves.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am heartbroken that I missed the timely window to wish JZ a Happy Birthday. I hope it was stellar, dear, and that the year ahead is filled with amazing adventures, new discoveries, much accomplishment, and a generous leavening of fun. Also? Sparklers. Somewhere in there, there should be sparklers.

Well, there were no sparklers but definitely candles on her little Scharfenberger cake.

It was a low key birthday for her, but she got two new dresses and cake and a martini.

Thanks for my birthday wishes. I got to share it with Deb and Nic who I saw at Suzi's going away party.

JZ and Matilda are crashed in bed together having a nap.

I'm still too stressed out from our game this morning. (Which we won. We're the champions of all the other champions.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

GC, upper respiratory infections and/or conjunctivitis are quite common in kitties. IIRC, you have another cat in the household - if so, best to keep the felines separated until you can have new kitty looked at, and wash hands thoroughly after handling her so you don't transfer germs to the older one. There is another advantage in keeping them separate for a few days anyway - it will allow them to adjust to each other's scent, and begin getting to know each other, without having unpleasant confrontations. Then, after kitten has had a visit to the vet and gets the all-clear, the introductions may go somewhat more smoothly than if they are just dumped in each others laps.

And, congratulations to you and Momo. May there be many years of joy together.

Happy b-day, Hec.

Kristin, I hope your stings heal up quickly.
