Dad is coming home from the hospital today. I'm feeling somewhat better, but still not up to making the drive down to San Diego today. My sister tells me he's decided to go with the cancer treatment. I don't know what that entails at this point.

Give yourself some time, ND. It won't do anyone any good to have you get sicker. It is so hard when you aren't there, but if you are sick it is best for everyone to keep your germs at a distance.
They're installing cable upstairs and in the process managed to turn all of my services off. I went to go tell them, and they said, "I know". You think they could have given some warning. It's back now.

GC, I know how hard it is. The damnable thing about pets is that, unless you've adopted a parrot, turtle, alligator or elephant, you'll outlive them.
ND, I have become cancer research girl, if you want someone to track down things like ways to reduce side effects.
All of this has made me want to go back to an idea I've had (that I mentioned to some people at the F2F) to start some kind of cancer website/blog for the angry and cynical. I'm going to flesh out the idea more on LJ.
I can vouch for how incredibly helpful Ginger is. She made a huge difference when my mom was going through her chemo.
