Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm getting the pig!

I love our freak dogs, and Slinky the cat, and of course Toke the cat, who is the feline version of me.

The love is obvious in your flickr pics.

When the SO and I move in together in a couple of months, it'll be three cats, a dog, and a fish. (Two cats are his and the rest of the brood are mine.) I've told him that if we all survive the first month, that we'll probably be ok to face anything.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

SATC: Yeah, I totally thought they were going to make that part of the preganancy storyline (which I was spoiled for).

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I did too, Megan. I wasn't totally spoiled for that (though I'd pretty much guessed it), but avoiding alcohol and making sure to not eat any even possibly suspect food seemed like she knew she was pregnant. And if she didn't, there was no reason for her not to have drinks like rum and coke or gin and tonic where everything comes from sealed bottles.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hil, wouldn't there be a worry about ice still, though? Not that I've seen the movie or anything.

True, ita. I hadn't thought of that.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

The iguana *is* nifty looking -- bright green -- and looks like it got lost in the time stream and came out millions of years ahead of where it should have.

Our wings are not tired.

We have a number of large iguanas that stroll around the neighborhood. They can be aggressive. They also hibernate when it gets chilly which freaks people out because it looks like they all died in their tracks. You can send him to me and I shall let him free!

Teppy, good luck with the extra house guests.

Cheesy eggs:

Bless ita for the reminder of all the pretty that is so close at hand.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

"God DAMN it. I shouldda turned left at the Mezzosoic. Wait...what's God?"

Right?

Guest Cat is still pissed this morning (yowling, hissing), which seems weird to me since she lived here for a long time and I would think that the smells would be familiar.

Guest Dog is being well-behaved, no thanks to our dalmatian, who has sworn a jihad against Guest Dog. Our coon hound (who is the alpha) is kind of indifferent to Guest Dog, as long as she doesn't raise a ruckus with him, which she hasn't, so far. Our 2 cats are annoyed with us for bringing in New Animals without asking them first.

The iguana continues to look freaked out, which is making me think that's just her normal expression.

And I continue to cross my fingers that Friend's house doesn't get nuked from orbit while he's gone.
