Teppy, good luck with the extra house guests.
Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Cheesy eggs:
Bless ita for the reminder of all the pretty that is so close at hand.
"God DAMN it. I shouldda turned left at the Mezzosoic. Wait...what's God?"
Right?
Guest Cat is still pissed this morning (yowling, hissing), which seems weird to me since she lived here for a long time and I would think that the smells would be familiar.
Guest Dog is being well-behaved, no thanks to our dalmatian, who has sworn a jihad against Guest Dog. Our coon hound (who is the alpha) is kind of indifferent to Guest Dog, as long as she doesn't raise a ruckus with him, which she hasn't, so far. Our 2 cats are annoyed with us for bringing in New Animals without asking them first.
The iguana continues to look freaked out, which is making me think that's just her normal expression.
And I continue to cross my fingers that Friend's house doesn't get nuked from orbit while he's gone.
#58476258 on the list of Dumb Things Aimee Did:
Opened coffee grinder before it stopped whirring. Result of dumbosity? COVERED in freshly ground coffee - including in shoes.

That is weird.
I was a little worried when Bastet came and visited in December because she and Toto never really did get along. But, they were totally fine. Toto quickly remembered her and completely stayed out of her way. It was kind of funny actually.
I hope it goes smoothly, Steph.
We have a number of large iguanas that stroll around the neighborhood. They can be aggressive. They also hibernate when it gets chilly which freaks people out because it looks like they all died in their tracks. You can send him to me and I shall let him free!
How is it I have never visited your neck of the woods?
I'm not gonna lie. Iguanas freak me out. I gave them their space when I was in St. Thomas. I took lots of pictures (even a video or two), but I let them do their thing.

I realise this isn't the most supportive reaction, but I think that's magnificent.
Incidentally, I'm currently taking an anti-inflammatory that warns me to discontinue use if I start vomiting up stuff that looks like coffee grounds. It's not quite "Warning: do not attempt to stop chainsaw blade with hands or genitals", but it'll do.

Maybe she's telling The Boy/The House all the terrible things that have happened to her since she was last there. My puppy has done this when we've picked her up after her spay operation and the first time we got her from my parents house after spending a week with them -- yelp, whine, bay all the way home.
That said, good luck with the Zoo, Steph.
It's going to be too nice of a day here to actually work without yelping, whining and baying about it, isn't it?
Oh Billytea! We had a sign (ok, it was the back of a flyer, but...) all ready for Iris to hold at the Cape May Zoo that said 'thx for the tip Billytea & Miss Havisham!' But then she fell asleep on the road to the zoo (we were going on the way home) and we took the opportunity to drive in peace. As we were rounding the 76 curve past the boathouses in Philly? She wakes up and the first thing she says is "Zoo! We need to go to the zoo!"
