I may have to get this game so I know what the fuck you people are talking about.
Dammit, I feel responsible. I *proposed* this thread and I have no clue as to what happens in it.
Anya ,'Touched'

All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.

It's pretty easy to follow, MM. StuntHusband and I are the good guys, and we're struggling to foil the nefarious plans of the evil meatsacks.
Easy enough to understand.
Sure, sounds like...
WAIT A MOMENT! Cylons are just appliances with delusions of grandeur and nuclear weapons! Fuck you guys!
(If in response to this you feel the need to spoil seasons 4.5 and 5...dont. I will knife you in the groin no matter where/what gender you are.)
...what gender you are.
I think one is A/C and one is D/C.
Fair enough.
Death to A/C toasters! Death! In the name of Tesla, I destroy thee!!

If that's the Bowie Tesla you're talking about, he's on *my* side. IJS.
I actually just finished watching the series a couple days ago and managed to stay unspoilt.
BSG
I managed to edit over this post. The gist: there are no interrupts, the check begins, Boomer is first to play.

We eagerly rub our little hands together. This will be EXCITING.
I need recommendations for a game: has to be playable by adults and smart teens. Limited reliance on luck. Can't take hours to play or be hard to learn.
A friend of Wallybee's has a teenager who sometimes comes over to play games. Some of the games we've played that have gone over well include:
Bohnanza (though you really need at least 4 players)
Traders of Genoa
Race for the Galaxy
Power Grid
Ingenious
Ticket to Ride
Of those, I would recommend Traders of Genoa first (I think it's now just called Genoa). The negotiation aspect can help keep everyone involved, and if they enjoy Settlers I figure they'll enjoy that aspect. I would also recommend Taj Mahal.
