Players have made their choices. On to Phase II (Develop), where only chrismg plays a card. He plays Contact Specialist. He may now play military worlds (except Alien worlds) as if they were non-military, i.e. by discarding cards equal to their defence (less a discount of 1 card).
That becomes immediately relevant in Phase III (Settle), where he uses it to play Rebel Sympathisers. This costs him nothing, being a 1-defence military world. It's also a Blue windfall world, and gives a free card draw whenever a good is produced on it.
Connie chose Phase III, and discards Doomed World to play Galactic Studios at no extra charge. Because the natural next step from fleeing the nightmare scape of a world in its death throes is show business. Anyway, it's a nifty world that normally costs 5 cards to play. It's a Blue production world, and gives a free card draw whenever a good is produced on it. It also has a Consume power to consume a good for 1 VP and 1 card. Since Connie chose Phase III, she draws 1 card.
Laga does nothing in either phase, preferring to sit in the corner and mutter "Soon, my pretties. Oh yes, soon."
That concludes Round 2. Time to choose Action cards for Round 3!

Quick warning: I'm in Canberra for the weekend, due to a 40th birthday breaking out. I'm not sure how much internet connectivity I'll manage, so the game might be a bit haphazard for the next few days.
no worries

I have everyone's orders; unfortunately, I don't have Internet access to post everything properly. I can give the rundown on Round 3, but won't be able to provide game summary or hand updates and such.
But such information as I do have: yet again, we have three different phases chosen. Yet again (for the third time from three rounds), we have Phases II and III, plus one other. That last space has seen some variety: IV in Round 1, I in Round 2, and now Phase V in Round 3. So:
chrismg chose Phase II. He plays Export Duties at zero cost. Everyone else passes.
Laga chose Phase III. She plays Gem World for 2 discards. This is a Blue production world that gives a card draw whenever a good is produced on it. She then draws a card for choosing Settle. Meanwhile, chrismg also settled, using Contact Specialist to play Rebel Warrior Race for 2 discards. This is a military Green windfall world that gives +1 military strength (bringing his strength up from -1 to 0). Connie passes.
Connie chose Phase V. She therefore produces on both her worlds, the Blue production and Blue windfall world. She then draws 1 card from Galactic Studios. Laga has 2 Blue production worlds, and produces on both. She then draws 1 card from Gem World. chrismg has no production worlds and sits this one out.
I may not be able to send out hand updates until I get home, but feel free to send me COs.

Everyone, if you haven't sent me your choice of Action card for Round 4, please do so now.
RftG
After all different phases for the first three rounds, in Round 4, everyone has chosen Phase IV (Consume):
Connie Neil: Phase IV (x2) - Consume (double VPs)
chrismg: Phase IV ($) - Consume (Trade)
Laga: Phase IV ($) - Consume (Trade)
Some variation in choice of bonus. Connie consumes for double points. Both Galactic Studios and Galactic Resort consume a good for 1 VP and 1 card; she consumes her two Blue goods for 4 VPs and 2 cards.
chrismg chose to trade a good. Export Duties gives him an extra card; he trades his Green good from Rebel Warrior Race for 5 cards. He has no Consume powers, so his Blue good remains untouched.
Laga also chose to trade one of her Blue goods for 2 cards, and consumes the other on Earth's Lost Colony for 1 VP.
Cards are going out now. That starts and ends Round 4. Everyone, please send me your choice of Action card for Round 5.

Round 5 continues the togetherness of the last round. Everyone chooses Phase II (Develop)! They each get a 1-card discount on the development they play. Let's see what they have.
Connie plays Mining League. This is a 6-cost development, worth 2 VPs per Brown production world and 1 VP per Brown windfall world, plus 2 VPs for each of a couple of Brown-related developments. It allows her to consume 2 Brown goods for 3 VPs, and produce on a Brown windfall world. Given that she has no Brown worlds in her layout, this is a gutsy move. It costs 5 discards.
chrismg plays Investment Credits (for zero cost). This gives a 1-card discount when playing any further developments.
Laga already has Investment Credits in her layout. She plays Expedition Force for zero cost. She now has 1 military strength (that's the Force part) and looks at 1 extra card when exploring (that's the Expedition part).
And that's it for Round 5. Time to choose Action cards again! Everyone, please send me your choices.
