Kat unleashes the fury!
Fire 1: 6. Hit!
Fire 2: 1. Miss.
Fire 3: 1. Miss.
Fire 4: 2. Miss.
"Kat, did you take the Vicodin or the Percocet?"
"...I wasn't supposed to take them both?"
"No, it wasn't like that! There's this other one, kept buzzing me while I was trying to get the shot! That little one out there! Who can concentrate with this little... whatever it is... zipping around?"
Chief's crisis card is:
Unidentified Ship
Skill Check (10 PR)
Possible interrupts: IC, SR, RO, ASC, Reckless. Everyone, please pass or play. You can also send me COs for the check itself. Romo plays first, Chief last.

Those are two colors I do not draw. Do we want to save what few cards we have, and tank? Or do you think y'all can carry it?
BSG (Kat)
I can help and I know we've been playing fast and loose with the population so far ...but I neeed those cards to protect our identified ships. I vote to
TANK

The Hell? How many Crises with no jump icons is that in a row?
I vote to
TANK.
Everybody brace yourselves.....

The Hell? How many Crises with no jump icons is that in a row?
This is now eight crises in a row with no jump icon. You've had a pretty nightmarish jump cycle so far.
That's a total tank. Romo still throws in one card, because he's a giver like that. Cards played:
Force Their Hand 0
Dradis Contact 0
Violent Outbursts 4
Tally: 0 - 4 = -4. Fail!
Not a surprise, that's the point of a tank. But each card in this check tells a story, and that story ends with more ships and Chief mugged. The DC-0 adds two raiders to Sector 1. The VO-4 sends Chief to Sickbay. The FTH-0 forces Chief's hand. Chief, you may either play a card into the check face-up, or draw a mutiny card. If you choose the latter, you'll be off to the Brig again. When you're ready, please post your choice. If you choose to play a card, please also post your choice of card.

Chief plays
Repair 1.
He remains unbrigged!
Meanwhile, more ships arrive. The DC-0 added two raiders in Sector 1, and the Cylon activation launches three more raiders in Sector 3. That concludes Chief's turn. Romo has opted to draw 1 Blue and 1 Treachery. Romo, when you're ready, please post your move and action.

Hah, I was just about to link that, BT. Supposedly they're going to update the free rules as the PHB and DMG are released later this year. (Which they pretty much have to do to remain competitive, since Pathfinder has had their complete rules, including all their hardcovers, online since the game's inception.)
I've only skimmed so far, and I think there's some interesting ideas in there. Not sure it's enough to lure me away from Pathfinder. It definitely seems like it might be less work on the DM's part, which could be a nice break from the supreme crunch and fiddliness in Pathfinder.
