You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Doc Cottle plays an IC-3 on the check. So now there's a committee tagging along to those secret meetings. I'm sure that won't be awkward.

Everyone else passes on interrupts. The check begins:

Secret Meetings: 9 YPB

Destiny: 2 cards
Hoshi:
Apollo: (COs received)
Helo:
Cottle:
Leoben: (COs received)
Baltar:

Hoshi is up first.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So here is how Reckless checks work in Daybreak. After resolving all the skill check effect cards, we turn over the top card of the Treachery deck.

This is in addition to any Treachery cards in the check that trigger Reckless effects, right? So you could get really, really screwed. Guess they thought there wasn't enough risk in making a check Reckless.

Correct. Normally, if you have more than one skill check effect card in a skill check, then the effect still only happens once. (So, for instance, if two Trust Instincts-0 cards turn up in a check, we still only add two more cards from Destiny.) That's not the case with cards added by Recklessness. If, for instance, there was a Personal Vices-3 in the check, and the Recklessness adds another one, all humans draw 2 Treachery cards, and the current player draws 2 mutiny cards.

On the plus side, there's less than a 50% chance that a Reckless check will do damage. But it sure looks like a lot of fun when it does.

IC! Nice going Doc! This might help find a saboteur.

I play purple Critical Situation 4.

That should help get things started.

I have Baltar's play. Let's add Destiny and ses how you fared:

Secret Meetings: 9 YPB

Destiny: Calculations 3, Exploit Weakness 5
Hoshi: Critical Situation 4
Apollo: Strategic Planning 4
Helo: 0 cards
Cottle: Strategic Planning 4
Leoben: Consolidate Power 2
Baltar: Consolidate Power 2

Tally: 19 - 5 = 14. Pass! And it gets better, as Baltar celebrates by playing a Change of Plans 5! Instead of resolving the check's pass effect ("No effect"), everyone gets to draw two cards! They must come from your normal skill set. Everyone, please let me know which colour(s) you would like to draw.

But the excitement doesn't stop there. The check passed comfortably, but that one negative card was a Treachery card, and that means wacky fun! Specifically, the current player chooses one human player to draw a mutiny card. Baltarnate, please post who is the lucky recipient.
