Maybe it's the 3am insomnia, but I'm not quite gathering the deducing what is being implied.
There is a new Daybreak card that causes Good Things to happen if you pass a check.

OK, sounds good. I choose Option 1.

The check is a go! Possible interrupts: IC, RO, ASC, Reckless. Everyone, please pass or play.
On which note, the check last round was Reckless, which I neglected to resolve. I'll do so before we start this check.

Ladies & Gents of the fleet. Brace yourself for impact. We are flying through rough skies right now.

So here is how Reckless checks work in Daybreak. After resolving all the skill check effect cards, we turn over the top card of the Treachery deck. If it's a 0-value card, we turn over the second card and resolve the effects on both cards. (They're not added to the skill check.) If it's worth more than 0, then it's discarded without having any effect. The top card of the Treachery deck is:
Exploit Weakness 5
No effect! The fleet gets away with its Reckless behaviour at least.
BSG
A reminder too, while we're dealing with interrupts: everyone can put in COs for their play into the check if they wish. Hoshi plays first, Baltar last.
BSG
Doc Cottle plays an IC-3 on the check. So now there's a committee tagging along to those secret meetings. I'm sure that won't be awkward.
Everyone else passes on interrupts. The check begins:
Secret Meetings:
9 YPB
Destiny:
2 cards
Hoshi:
Apollo:
(COs received)
Helo:
Cottle:
Leoben:
(COs received)
Baltar:
Hoshi is up first.

This is in addition to any Treachery cards in the check that trigger Reckless effects, right? So you could get really, really screwed. Guess they thought there wasn't enough risk in making a check Reckless.

Correct. Normally, if you have more than one skill check effect card in a skill check, then the effect still only happens once. (So, for instance, if two Trust Instincts-0 cards turn up in a check, we still only add two more cards from Destiny.) That's not the case with cards added by Recklessness. If, for instance, there was a Personal Vices-3 in the check, and the Recklessness adds another one, all humans draw 2 Treachery cards, and the current player draws 2 mutiny cards.
On the plus side, there's less than a 50% chance that a Reckless check will do damage. But it sure looks like a lot of fun when it does.

IC! Nice going Doc! This might help find a saboteur.
I play purple Critical Situation 4.
That should help get things started.
