You guys, I have a crazy idea. I mean, Chief has already played his SCC, so the only thing that could frak it up is a particularly bad Crisis (or a bad Crisis card on my turn), but I'm pretty sure this plan will work. Hell, Chief may even be forced to give us a jump icon.
What if on my turn I activate the Engine Room to make sure we get a jump icon, putting the jump track in blue, and then Anders just pulls the trigger on his turn and, uh, we win? We have the Population to spare.

With the Pegasus expansion, jump icons from crises drawn by Cylons do count. This is a change to the base game rules. (Cylon ship activation icons still don't have any effect.)

Hmm. I still think it's too big a risk. We're basically praying Chief pulls two Jump icon crises. If he doesn't, or if Apollo's crisis puts something in the air he can use with Cylon Fleet, we're heading into Gaeta's Super Crisis before we can jump to Kobol.
I say build up resources now and on Anders' turn so we can survive the Cylons and use the Engine Room next round.
