And the great part is, Gaeta did pretty much nothing to cause it.
Gaeta did set the Jump track back and not shoot at the basestar, setting us back on that front as well.
But, yeah, that Crisis coming after the Reveal was NOT good timing. Only time will tell whether sacrificing Zarek was the right move.
BSG
Apologies for the delay on this too, but with Gaeta's reveal, he passes his unrevealed loyalty card to another player. He has chosen to give it to Apollo.
BSG
Of course he does.
As President, I determine that we need to save all the cards we can, since we just LOST NINE HUMAN CARDS. Food is still above the red, so it can take the hit.
(I hope)
I choose to
lose 1 Food.
BSG
Food drops to 5. The basestar is incensed - incensed, I tell you! that the humans are so cavalier about wasting food while there are Communists in the French government. It opens fire!
Die roll: 2. Miss.
Well, that's disappointing.
That concludes Helo's turn. Apollo has opted to draw 2 Green in his card draw. Apollo, when you're ready, please post your move and action.

Just a reminder, Tory draws 2 skill cards when a Quorum card is played. So an XO to me will let me get some useful cards into my hand.
BSG
That is true. You do need cards, and you do need to Assign Mission Specialist to Helo. On the other hand, Helo could nuke that basestar and that would be great. If only we could do both of these in one turn.
Oh, what the hell, let's keep this game interesting.
I
discard PtF-0
to
move to Research Lab,
where I play
State of Emergency-6.
Here we go again!
I begin by playing
XO-2
on
Helo.
Time to go nuclear, sir. If you can't take it out completely, Anders can bat clean-up.
BSG
Ok! That's what I like to see. Helo, you have received an XO. You may either move and take an action, or not move (note that you are currently in Sickbay) and take two actions. When you're ready, pleas post your orders. (Note too that you will get an additional move or action from the State of Emergency. You will play last.)
Everyone else, feel free to send me COs for your State of Emergency orders. You may all
either
move
or
take an action (not both). Apollo has already played an XO this turn, so no one else may play either an XO or a CS.
So we've been playing games at lunch here (mostly Zombie Fluxx and Mystery Rummy), which is good. I'm looking for suggestions of games for 3-4 that can be played very quickly, or easily interrupted. For example, Mystery Rummy is great because each hand is totally different so you can stop pretty much whenever and pick up the score sheet where you left off. I'd say anything where it helps to remember what people have or what's left in stock is out.
Ideas?
