You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

I'm in transit right now, so I'll send the first card when I get home. You can send me some COs for circumstances where you would definitely draw another card, or definitely play one.

Baltar has received his Quorum card, and elected to play one:

Inspirational Speech

Look, I hate to speak ill of an elected representative, fortunately he wasn't elected. I think he won a shampoo endorsement or something. Anyway, he's really not used to this kind of thing. Anyone want to help him out with a Strategic Plan? Everyone, please pass or play.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

BSG

Gaius, (may I call you Gaius?) Some speeches inspire, others just anger the populous. It's not that I don't trust you, it's just that I'm worried about how you come across. The words "weasel-faced" have crossed my ears. Allow me to look over your notes and I'm sure together we can come up with a Strategic Plan to boost our people's morale.

I play SP-3

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG

Whew. I've been waiting the whole frakking game to give a speech, but there was never a quiet moment. (That was the first Quorum Card I drew, and I was so excited! And then we kept having to deal with Cylons.)

Luckily, I have a very good speechwriter.

President Baltar takes to the podium. He addresses the fleet.

"Hello ladies. Look at your man. Now back to me. Now back at your man. Now back at me. Sadly, he isn’t me. But if he stopped using month-old horse tallow and a timeshare scouring pad and switched to Old Floppy-Haired Genius he could smell like he’s me. Look down. Back up. Where are you? You’re on a battlestar with the President your man could smell like. What’s in your hand? Back at me. I have it. It’s a toaster with two tickets to that thing you love. Look again. The tickets are now baby recipes! Anything is possible when your man smells like Old Floppy-Haired Genius and not a farm animal."

"I’m on an ungodly pilot-raptor Cyborg hybrid."

Powerful stuff! Let's see how the fleet reacts:

Die roll: 4 + 2 = 6. Pass!

Morale increases by 1, and demand for Old Floppy-Haired Genius skyrockets! Which is unfortunate, as Old Floppy-Haired Genius is not so much an actual product as it is not an actual product. I'm afraid there's going to be trouble when they realise. President Baltar's Crisis is:

Riots
Admiral's Choice

Admiral Cain, when you're ready, please post your choice.

Rock! Thanks for your help, Admiral! You really...spiced my speech up.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

BSG

I riotously demand, um, not to have to smell like Baltar!

Looks like it'd be easiest to drop that morale we just gained and food. I'd rather that than lose fuel and population, I think.

By the way, a reminder for the crew: when you post definite orders, put them in bold. Helps me distinguish easily between orders and discussion.

Which is more easily replenishable, Fuel or Food?

eep! Sorry I keep forgetting

BSG

Which is more easily replenishable, Fuel or Food?

There are 4 Quorum cards that increase Food, and 1 that can increase Fuel. Most Destinations lose Fuel, but there are about 5 that give you the chance to increase it. There are 3 Destinations that let you gain Food. These Destinations (both Fuel and Food) are generally 1 Distance. There are 5 Crisis Cards that give the chance to increase Food, and 1 that lets you increase Fuel, which you've already encountered. And passed! Go you!
