I had a dream last night that I won a prize for a comedy(Not sure if it was a book or movie, actually) called "My Friend's Abortion"...I know a long time ago that I had a talk with Deb G about why there are no schmasmortions in film, whether conservatism(her theory) or that nine months with lots of wacky changes makes a better story(mine) but it is kind of ridiculous that this has been hanging around in my subconcious all this time. Even more ridiculous, trying to pretend I'm Diablo Cody and write down what that makes me think of.
It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

So I seem to have a half-hour reading slot at WorldCon. Luckily, it is the 7-7:30 slot before the Hugos, so everyone will be getting prettified, and I can practice reading in private. It is tempting to screen some of OMWF or Janestown or something. I have things I can read. Still. Panic-flail.

It means I'm listed on my first con schedule - which is really cool. I'm still way more excited about going to all the readings and panels I can - so that's where my focus is going. It means I'm on a panel (there are a billion of those), staffing a workshop, and reading for a half hour to chairs before I go squee at Seanan and Jo Walton and and and... So yeah, slight squee. And terror. Lots of terror.
