This girl at school? She told me that gelatin is made from ground-up cow's feet and that every time you eat Jell-O there's some cow out there limping around without any feet. But I told her that I'm sure the cow is dead before they cut its feet off, right?

Art Crawl!!!

Go Allyson!

Meanwhile, I'm having a not so very good day - first the damn copy machine won't work, and I need to copy documents where the originals have to elsewhere ASAP. So I race off to the library, copy what I have take them to the other office, discover errors, which (luckily) they let me correct with whiteout and a typewriter and then come back here - dying for my breakfast and coffee only to discover that the conference room which contains the coffee and the spoon with which I can eat my breakast yoghurt is occupied. (With a job interview, so I can't just interrupt.)

Stupid day.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Ooh, Visio! I miss having it on my work PC. (The licenses were deemed too expensive by The Management, and it was removed. Now we do our flow charts in Excel, which is clunk-a-riffic.)

Oh ick. I don't know if that's better or worse than trying to do them with PowerPoint. I'm just glad I now have Visio on one of my machines.

It's better only in that it doesn't involve using Power Point. More often, we just wind up using bullet-pointed Word docs.

True dat.

The thing is, PP does have the basic aparatus to do flow charts (I've resorted to it in the past when I absolutely needed a chart), but the selection of shapes is limited, and MicroSoft's propensity to try and out think you makes it a maddening, unecessarily cumbersome process.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
