I was thrilled to find a can of aerosole cheese

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Advice:

I want to change this sentence

This course is designed to teach ....

to something other than "this course is intended to teach...."

It's the first sentence of the syllabus and I can't get it quite right.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I hate doing interviews, and I don't think I necessarily do them very well, so I couldn't say.

Am I the only one who thought msbelle was pledging to call her lawyer an ass once a week? (Which I happen to think is a great plan.)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm starting to get scared about the whole fertility thing. But finding a partner? Unpossible.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Half an hour for an entry level position? Plenty long enough. The only things you need to know are: Can I get along with you? Are they smart enough to pick things up quickly?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's the first sentence of the syllabus and I can't get it quite right.

This course will teach?

Thank you! That's exactly what I was thinking, too.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

In adopting-but-not-a-child news, our new standard poodle arrives tomorrow. He is 2 and has lived with a crazy dog hoarder all his life. She is 86 and had a mild stroke and the animal rescue people are working with her daughter to place all her dogs while she is in the hospital, so when she gets home she will just have one or two. We met him at the dog adoption fair (where we went just to "look" Ha!) and he has been over and met our dog and cats and all seemed pretty cool. I am excited and worried and hope all goes well. I am trying to get in touch with my inner Cesar Milan, in case she needs a lot of training.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh, I'm happy for friends who start trying and get pregnant with little drama or worry. AFTER my initial reaction of split-second crankitude.

And as long as people don't go all self-righteous about their glorious birth experiences, and how if you were only doing it right, you too could have an unattended waterbirth while whales sang to you, I'm thrilled when people have trouble-free pregnancies and the birth they wanted.
