Urgh. I need to get my Powerbook back from the repair shop. They've had it for about two weeks, and who knows what they're doing to it. They've not called me once with status--despite telling me they would, and me insisting they should. Apparently it will be done by tomorrow--they're just restoring my hard drive data. Except I took it in for a bad keyboard. The guy on the phone was very mumbley about why they needed to restore data, and assured me it was all within the original quoted price, but still.
I registered for yelp so I can leave a bitter review as soon as it's in my desperate little hands again.
Got a copy of Cook's Country magazine in the mail. I'm not sure what its mission statement is, as opposed to Cook's Illustrated. So far "more colour pictures" is all I'm noticing.
And Aerosoles just cancelled shipping of the red shoes I asked about! I'm bitter! I'd been placing them with outfits since I bought them.
I guess I'll go back for the grey.
Maybe.
A friend has asked me to recommend a prosecco for her son's wedding. I tend to buy prosecco by whim, and I only remember a few names. Any suggestions?

Easier recipes. More homey foods -- casseroles aren't eschewed.

The proof of the pudding, as they say.
I'm in a bind. I'm not sure if I took tonight's meds yet. I have to decide if doubling is worse than missing. Having missed, I don't believe it can be, but I couldn't have predicted the impact of missing before doing it for the first time.
I guess I'll wait until right before I go to bed and take the important meds then. Hmmph. I have no idea what knocked me off my rhythm.
I have no idea how many calories I eat in a day. I'm guessing more than 1200 and less than 2000. 1600? Not sure.
We had family fiesta day at daycare today--the parents bring a pot luck lunch with the kids. DH came too. It was so nice except it sapped my will to do much else today. Hrm. With luck, I'll have the will to work tomorrow.
Having read the issue of Cook's Country I have to say the tone falls flat for me. The recipes may be very good--there are more of them than in an issue of Cook's Illustrated, and the thirty minute dinners are a goldmine if they're tasty, but the personality of it doesn't click. The page of kitchen outtakes was just a list of stupid things people copped to having done in the kitchen. Whoope de doo.
Off to take a potentially redundant medication. I can't believe I'm allowed to take care of me.
Are they still sending out that same issue of Cooks Country? The one with the red checkered table cloth on the cover and the brownie recipe inside?
I didn't remember brownies. It's way in the other room. It had a low-fat chocolate chip cookie recipe that I kinda want to make into an oatmeal cookie recipe once I can eat wheat again. There was also...pasta primavera, freezer lasagna, and then I don't remember exactly.
