Gratuitous baby picspam:

Noah likes to remove and eat his socks and vogue and stand and gnaw on things and show off the world's greatest bellybutton.

And make funny noises and do aerobics.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Dear vice president co-worker:

Please LEARN how the system works before asking me to do things that are completly different from the system's purpose, especially after I spent last night until 23:00 doing my best to understand what do you want from me and do a hell lot of overtime to help you out with it.

Also? "Oh, no, so you just worked for nothing"? Isn't the best way to say "I'm really sorry I wasn't clear about what I wanted you to do from the start, so you won't have to work so much helping me out".

Plus? Trust me, you can figure out what you wanted from the data I already sent, if you give it 5 minutes of thought.

FYI.

Fucking AAAAARRRRRGGGG!

Edit: it's worse than I thought. Not. Enough. Hate. In the world.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Shir, fwiw, I've found that one of my most important functions as a developer is to save the users from themselves. Keep pushing back at them just enough to make sure that they have clarified exactly what they want and that they'll get it in a form they understand.

It was a day of empowerment when I realized I could screw over users I didn't like by giving them EXACTLY what they asked for. Not that I use this power for evil, but knowing I have it is something of a comfort.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Theodosia, unfortunately, when I give my company what they want and they realize they were wrong, I'm usually the one who has to do the rework.

So for me, it's a boomerang power. And that's ALWAYS evil.

I just didn't need that today. It's the weekend in about 3 hours, and I just don't have any energy left in me for this kind of screw-ups.

And now, there's a question in a board I'm lurking that I can answer really easily and no one else there knows or seems to remember. I don't like that board much, but I really want to give the answer. But I have to register to give it. Bah.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And Aerosoles just cancelled shipping of the red shoes I asked about! I'm bitter! I'd been placing them with outfits since I bought them.

Aerosoles by mail is the worst! Learn from my mistake, and from lisah's! Don't let them fool you!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I wasn't impressed by Cook's Country. I was all ready to like it, but eh, I don't cook like that. And yet they continue to send me the same damn free sample issue over and over and over...

I love this one of Noah. Such glee!

Trust my rage

I think Noah really does have the perfect belly button. It's totally adorable.

Is this the hair thread? Because I want to cut my hair - maybe later today - but I have no ideas other than to make it shorter. Here's a current picture: [link]

Art Crawl!!!

I'm going to go back to the place where I had the pad thai and see if they still have the menus with the nutritional information on them.

The Chicago Cougar was a cheesehead.

Swouncing

Is it because I'm squinting my eyes and looking at this picture just the right I-wanna-see-this-in-it way, or does adorable little (well, clearly quite not that little anymore!) Noah look like Kat there?

[Edit: This is SO strange. I was sure that this post was posted properly, with all the words inside it. And then they were gone. How strange.]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is it because I'm squinting my eyes and looking at

Uh-oh. Nilly's locked up. Someone reboot her....
