Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Couch coffins

We at Coffincouches.com have the mindset of thinking "Green" and we know it is different but we strongly believe in recycling. Our niche happens to be 18 gauge steel coffins which we collected from local funeral homes primarily in Southern California. It is a health and safety law that funeral homes cannot resell used coffins to the general public. We approached funeral directors with the attitude of recycling. These coffins are not used for burial due to slight cosmetic inconsistencies. They are reconfigured and modified resulting in a finished product - a unique one a kind coffin couch. If you notice (although it may be too small) the six cast iron heavy duty legs are embossed with the universal biohazard insignia. The reason we utilized this sign was because safety was our utmost concern. If you are not aware, once a human body is placed in a coffin it is considered biohazard tissue. The legs have the embossed insignia for precautionary reasons in the event body fluids are exchanged on these coffins. Perhaps you would feel safe knowing that you are in designated biohazard scene!

They are very pretty! Only $4,500.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I got up at 3:30am to drive the DH to the Flyaway bus this morning. Managed to get an extra hour of sleep when I got home, but still feel like a zombie.

Me want to see the crystal skull. Are you going to post it in LJ? I love seeing all of your projects and enjoying your progress.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Would the phrase "you'll soon change your tune" make sense in French? If not, is there another colloquial phrase with a similar meaning?

I think "changer de refrain" exists, but one would be more likely to say "changer de discours", literally "to change one's speech". So "Tu vas bientôt changer de discours" would be the closest to your phrase above.

Now tagless for your comfort.

If a human body has been in the coffin, the family got charged for it. So the funeral home can't resell it to the public for funerary purposes, but can sell it to the furniture manufacturer. Aren't they getting paid for a piece of equipment twice?

Regardless of cool they look, I'd want to know the provenance behind the piece and whether some grieving family got billed for the coffin before I bought it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Tommyrot, I'm x-posting that in Bitches so Jilli sees it!

I don't think the coffins are actually used - just "demo" models that are slightly imperfect or something. The quote is confusing - I think the stuff about "biohazard" is kinda' a joke. Unless the coffins are actually used?

Cool. I was hoping she'd see it here, but that's better.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Vanity post: so this weekend, I was in the Castro, and decided to do this.

When I first saw the thing about coffin couches, I thought "Cool!" but the picture kinda makes me... uncomfortable? I dunno.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have started up on fitday again. Have we discussed here that there is an entry for "milk, human"? - ummmmmm

so far I am fat and carb heavy. I am hoping to get a handle on what I eat for a week or two in order to make some adjustments (slightly high cholesterol at last Dr. appt, and in a swimsuit last Fri = time to pay attention more).
