Ann, that's a ferret.

Have been to Denny's but can't remember the last time. We have several IHOPs near home, so that's where we go when we're in that kind of mood. We'll also go to the local Silver Diner now and then, but they try too hard to create an atmosphere that has to develop naturally.

There was a Big Boy near where we lived at one point, but I think it closed.

I always think of Perkins restaurant as a cut above diner. Not fancy, but just a bit nicer place than the typical diner.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Scola, I was watching that version last night. That part was just you. I've always seen it as being implied that Marianne's fever was brought about by her being abandoned by Willoughby.

Were you referring to the conversation Elinor had with Mrs. Jennings when she said Willoughby and Marianne were not lovers?

I'm full of gronk this morning. Went to bed at midnight, Owen got up at 4 with a nightmare and Liv was up for good by 5:30 a.m. It's going to make for a loooooong day.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Dude. That's an optical Theremin. Which Jon, being the Theremin snob that he is, doesn't consider to be a real Theremin. (Neither do I, for that matter.)

Oh, well...pardon me!

Art Crawl!!!

I watched the new S&S and I didn't get the impression that Marianne had slept with Willoughby or caught a disease from him.

Punishingly Intricate

I miss the Deli Haus. I was just in Kenmore the other night bemoaning all the swankery, missing the Deli Haus.

Awww! Deli Haus!!! I spent A LOT of time there as an undergrad.

Our high school hangout was the Charcoal Pit. Milkshakes and fries and big bowls of pickles! And then they kicked us out and we moved across the parking lot to hang out outside the Punkin Donuts. I took this picture:

But, yeah, if they implied that Marianne slept with Willoughby, that would be a breathtaking liberty.

I really don't think they did imply that. The shocking part was that she went to his aunt's house with him totally unchaperoned. Which was in the book, right?

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

There was petting! They showed them petting at the aunt's house.
