Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Due to the DH having a very good freelance year, our tax bill is going to clean out our entire savings account. Luckily, this payment includes next quarter's estimated taxes as well, and we have no credit card debt (yeah, I said it, as of last month we have NO credit card debt!) so let's hope more jobs come in for him and we can start saving again. No buying ANY new stuff for the next year--one more reason for me to diet right now, so my summer clothes will all fit.

ita, that's insult to injury to insult. At least you got to earn interest on it?

My parents got slammed with a penalty one year due to somethingorother they missed. They seemed to have sorted that out.

scrappy, ouch. But yay doing better than expected!

Damned, someone must've slipped some pollyanna in my ginger ale.

mac is feeling so much better, but wakes up from naps feeling really bad all over again. I know he is feeling better though, because he is requesting food.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Due to the DH having a very good freelance year, our tax bill is going to clean out our entire savings account.

Talk about good news/bad news! I was lucky that the one year I got a bunch of my income on 1099s (right?), I was also in school, so I got credit for that.

How do cream soups freeze? I think I have more asparagus than I'm going to want to eat right away.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'd be wary of freezing cream soups -- I suspect that the fat in the cream will go all globby and separated. On the other hand, you could do a veg puree (which I'm certain will freeze brilliantly) and then add the cream only when you reheat it later.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

amych is wise.

Now my brain has no idea how to read her nick.

In my head, it's clearly Amy-See-Aitch, which is first name and last initials. But since I don't have winning vote on this, you're welcome to read it however it makes sense to you!

Our wings are not tired

Pretty much all of my income is 1099. I just finished filling out my extension and will hopefully get my taxes done in the next three weeks. I'm guessing I'll owe between $15,000 and $20,000 but I wouldn't be shocked it if were higher.

half the time I make it into a word, but names on boards are not things to ever be said outloud - only in one's head. (unless your using your real name, natch)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Huh. Delta and Northwest are merging. Not sure I think that's a good omen (though, really, could either of them get more pain in the ass?)
