I am running a load of laundry in my new apartment! This really makes me happier than it should. It's great to be able to do laundry without having to ask anyone for help.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

sj, it sounds like it's making you exactly as happy as it should. Yay!!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Still Not Dead! Went to the hospital, and am doing a course of shots. Lucky lucky me. Fingers and toes crossed, all should be well. Please God.

Also, am sort of incredulous at the egregious amount of adorability being displayed by the bloke I have a crush on. I mean, come the fuck on, Universe! You're just SCREWING with me here! Enough!

I would like to state for the record that I was not referring to Vortex as "spermies."

heh. wrong gender! But, still funny.

Because much as I am BITTER and super JEALOUS, I also really like the new one she is seeing. (GRRRRRRRRRRRR)

you should totally steal her from GILF

sj, it's been 6 months since I've had the washer/dryer and it STILL makes me happy.

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a super busy day yesterday. I started the birthday celebration on Friday at 5 with happy hour which went until after midnight. Went home, got a solid night's sleep, then got up to go to a charity walk. (BFF's son has CF, so I really wanted to be there) Ran from there (changing in the parking lot) to my brother's graduation. Went surprisingly quickly, but left there, ran home and changed for dinner. We went to a great 4 star restaurant for the tasting room. Five course meal -- butter poached lobster, pork belly, salmon terrine with crab salad, goat cheese tart, black forest roulade with black pepper ice cream. Plus, a special birthday cake. I was STUFFED, and we weren't done until after midnight. Came home, and I slept and slept and slept some more. now, i am clearing the tivo, and basking in the love.

Laundry in apartment sounds great. Right now, I'm finishing up my fifth load of laundry for the day, and I am getting so sick of going up and down that elevator.

Mostly lurking...

Yay, sj! That's awesome.

Good to see Fay!

My thesis buddy just came and kidnapped me, and we spent the afternoon walking through Arnold Arboretum. We sat among the lilacs (see the link for a picture) and had a picnic lunch that she made. It was lovely and perfect. We were supposed to get together and discuss plans for our presentation on Tuesday, but mostly we discussed our shallow fashion details for the presentation, party, and honors gatherings on campus (there are three! Craziness!). Also, she has vetoed me making my famous blueberry muffins (from scratch!) for the presentation. Bless her.

This is me, but replace 6 months with 2 years. Having a w/d rocks!

Did you have a good birthday Vortex?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Fay, umm have you told him out right that you have a crush on him? Because while not returning your crush is one kind of clueless, sometimes guys can be another kind where they simply don't know you are interested, in spite your sending just about every possible signal.
