I keep trying to read Girl Genius, but I find the artwork to off-putting. I'm shallow that way.
And Anne, I noticed something strange about your position on the Buffista Map. Did you move again?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Anne is on vacation?! Awesome! Happy Vacation!
So, I just checked my blog stats, and one of my visitors from today came from a Google search of "beautyandthebum.com." I'm really hoping it was a typo, though I did go visit www.beautyandthebum.com, and it's currently parked by GoDaddy. I have a funny feeling that someone searching for that site would not find at all what they were looking forward on my site. As a matter of fact, I'm getting more and more disturbed the more I think about it.

That's a shame, Tom, because it's a really good comic.
We actually live only a mile or so from the comic's creators; they are fun people and their son, at age 4 was prone to announcing "One day I will rule you all! Bwahahahahaaaa!" which really just sets the tone for the craziness there really.
-t recommended Girl Genius too, Anne. I haven't checked it out yet, but all I needed to see was Phil Foglio art. Scola may not like the art much, but I've been a HUGE Foglio fan since the What's New strips in the back of Dragon magazine.

Hey Sean. Yeah, you have a LOT of reading to do with GG then. There's got to be 700, maybe a 1,000 pages online. Put it this way, in their collections, which run approximately 150 pages each, they're just about to release volume 7.
GG is actually the first site I hit as soon as it updates -9pm PST Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday.
When I come up to visit, you guys can introduce me to Phil and Kaja?
Actually, maybe. They occasionally have a Friday poker night and the invite does say that people are welcome to bring guests.
The biggest problem would be they tend to announce these things with 2 days notice.

I have to read 700 pages of Phil! Darn.
I mean, YAY! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
And it's the best work they've done. Emphasis on THEY actually. Kaja is as involved as Phil, just not in the art.
