Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Meara, I do so love hearing about your weekend adventures. You are always trying cool new things and getting all the enjoyment out of them you can. Go you!
My weekend, not so exciting, but nice. We played with new doggie and took him and Layla on a 3-mile walk, which included sitting at an outdoor cafe. Last night, we went to Ironman, which I dug. Today I am at the office for a bit, then go to the gym, then slounge at home. Tonight, Survivor finale.
meara, very happy you had fun at the party (despite GILF, who continues to annoy the crap out of me).
The doctor I went to said to try taking it with food, rather than on an empty stomach.
I did eat it with food! I took it, literally, a minute before I ate a full breakfast (which was disgustingly apparent later). Apparently, I needed to take it
after
a full breakfast. So gross and awful and bleh. But the good news is that I ate with no problems last night and feel fine today, so I am going to say definitively that it was the antibiotic. I am very glad that I am done with the antibiotic now.
Glad you're feeling better, Kristin.
I have conquered more cable clutter! I took the surge protector for the TV stuff and used mounting squares to attach it to the wall behind the TV. Presto, no cords trailing to the ground. I feel very accomplished.
(Yes, I'm trying to avoid working on my dissertation. What of it?)
Yeah, unfortunately when a doctor or instructions say to take a pill "with food" what they mean is "immediately after food". Good that the health care industry believes in clear communications.

I have been taking pills most of my adult life, and I find this out now??

YAY conquering chaos!
Also behind my TV stand, I found three plastic frogs. No clue where they came from.
You don't own plastic frogs, they're just breeding behind your TV, Hil? How interesting!
The only time I've done the murder mystery thing I was cast as the murderer so I didn't get to guess. Go you getting it right!
Heh. Even better--the GILF was the one who got "killed"!
Hil, I should hire you to run cables for shows. Getting cables out of the way so actors don't trip on them is always a task nobody likes to do. We pay cheap, but it is a great distraction from your dissertation!
Also, becareful of the frogs! Remember what they did to Australia!!!

Hee.
I just realized that, the way my desk is designed, I can easily mount stuff to the bottom of it to get things out of the way. I'm a bit worried about ventilation, though.
My printer will not cooperate with my Airport Express. This is frustrating. And the Apple website says that if the printer will work when plugged directly into the computer, but not when plugged into the Airport (as is the case), then they can't do anything about it and I should contact the printer company. But it's an old printer, and I've got the newest driver, and still nothing. I'm pretty sure the solution is getting a new printer, but I just got this one a few years ago.

Ha! I have one in my bathroom windowsill. The old tenant left them here. Actually, I found out that they were left there as a goof by my landlord for his wife to find one morning. Each tenant has just left it there, so I feel it would be improper to get rid of it.
So, in update to my worst babysitter or best babysitter question from last night...this morning I was asked to stick to books that the girl's mom leaves for me. Oh, well.
Happy Mother's Day all!
