[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hil, I should hire you to run cables for shows. Getting cables out of the way so actors don't trip on them is always a task nobody likes to do. We pay cheap, but it is a great distraction from your dissertation!

Hee.

I just realized that, the way my desk is designed, I can easily mount stuff to the bottom of it to get things out of the way. I'm a bit worried about ventilation, though.

My printer will not cooperate with my Airport Express. This is frustrating. And the Apple website says that if the printer will work when plugged directly into the computer, but not when plugged into the Airport (as is the case), then they can't do anything about it and I should contact the printer company. But it's an old printer, and I've got the newest driver, and still nothing. I'm pretty sure the solution is getting a new printer, but I just got this one a few years ago.

Mostly lurking...

Also behind my TV stand, I found three plastic frogs. No clue where they came from.

Ha! I have one in my bathroom windowsill. The old tenant left them here. Actually, I found out that they were left there as a goof by my landlord for his wife to find one morning. Each tenant has just left it there, so I feel it would be improper to get rid of it.

So, in update to my worst babysitter or best babysitter question from last night...this morning I was asked to stick to books that the girl's mom leaves for me. Oh, well.

Happy Mother's Day all!

Also, becareful of the frogs! Remember what they did to Australia!!

There is a kid's book called Toad Rage all about th e adventures of Limpy, a cane toad , who wants to improve human/cane toad relationships. Matt kicked me out of the living room when I was reading it because I was laughing so hard he couldn't read.

I need to do some work, but I'm still recovering from my neph's wedding.

My mother's day present was the Avatar DVDs. Mal has a total crush on the girl.

I just took a walk in my neighborhood. It's a lovely day out--fairly warm in the sun, but cold in the shade if you're not moving around. I returned library books, and went to the farmer's market (the first one of the season for this location). I bought a tomato plant, and some cheese. Sadly, the flowers were overpriced and the asparagus was huuuuuuuge (I prefer skinny asparagus, not ones that are bigger than my thumbs). Then I got a latte, and walked past the DAR hall where the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are having a Mother's Day Mad Hatter's Tea. There were Sisters dressed up of course, and someone on stilts, and burlesquers, and some people spinning fire, and juggling...

Yay, my neighborhood!
