My mom just made "Irish" dinner. Corned beef and cabbage, corned seitan and cabbage, potatoes, and soda bread.
Incidentally, when I was in Ireland, whenever I was served what was called "soda bread," it was a sort of whole wheat bread. Here, "soda bread" is white and sweet. Why?
I don't know, Hil, but I prefer the whole wheat version. I've sometimes found a good brown soda bread mix but I'm guessing it isn't hard to make.
Yeah, I made some of the whole wheat kind last year, and it was pretty easy.
What's seitan? And did you have parsley sauce with the corned beef? Nom.
I had the soda bread convo with DH earlier. He'd never heard of the white kind. Go figure.
HIL!! Help!!
I have to simplify (1/2)^-2.
I came up with 2/1^2. Is that right?
Not Hil, but don't lose the parentheses. (2/1)^2.
see, to me, that looks like you took all the numbers and symbols, threw them up in the air, and caught them. all except for the '-'
::kicks math a little. goes back to proofreading something with the word phosphofructokynase in it::
You mean phosphofructokinase.
Parsley sauce?
a) I've never heard of this
b) It sounds exquisite
