Aw, I've been there, Jessica!
'Why We Fight'
Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
while being backed up by Souder, Stevens and Breyer in spangled robes while Scalia looks on sourly
It's the current Chief Justice who leads the carol singing at the holiday party.
I had peanut butter for breakfast! I feel all Zeitgeisty.
Speaking of which, today is National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day.
We'll have to open a restaurant for that.
I could eat at that potato restaurant a lot.
Now. I would like a baked potato
I should not be hungry
OK, both thorny payroll problems solved. At least, one of them is solved, and the other has been handed off to the proper HR person who has promised to have it fixed on Monday, when the "payroll change window" reopens. Yes, you can only make changes to payroll maybe half of the time, because otherwise the window is closed. Do I understand this? No. Do I accept it? More or less.
I feel like a large weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Now I'm going to quickly look through my work email, answer what I can, check work voicemail, and call it a good half day's work.
So, it's an actual window? And not the window of opportunity to get the paperwork done before the next payroll is run?
We had an odd payroll problem this time around that luckily (for me) turned out to be Not My Fault. Whew.
I'm sure it's the window of opportunity thing, sumi, since the times when it's closed are the days immediately after the 15th and the 30th/31st, when presumably they're scrambling to get us paid and so on. Though I kinda wish it was an actual window.
Today I am wearing my new suit with my new shoes (the Eccos that Tep linked to last week) and everyone is asking me if I have a job interview. Heh.
