I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Buffy ,'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Art Crawl!!!

So, it's an actual window? And not the window of opportunity to get the paperwork done before the next payroll is run?

We had an odd payroll problem this time around that luckily (for me) turned out to be Not My Fault. Whew.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm sure it's the window of opportunity thing, sumi, since the times when it's closed are the days immediately after the 15th and the 30th/31st, when presumably they're scrambling to get us paid and so on. Though I kinda wish it was an actual window.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Today I am wearing my new suit with my new shoes (the Eccos that Tep linked to last week) and everyone is asking me if I have a job interview. Heh.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Nora, what do you think of the shoes? How do they fit/feel?

They feel good- they are a little loose in the back but nothing detrimental. I have the same issue that I have with any shoe that has the least little bit of heel- the pressure is concentrated to the uper part of the foot (the pad?) so it's a little sore there. But those are really minor issues- I've been wearing them all day and my feet feel more or less fine on the first shoe outing!

Also, I look GOOD.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

God, my head is *killing* me.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

But he, um, I mean the fictional construct in my head, thinks I should stop worrying about the past and work on my book, being that he's a major character and would rather see me put him on the page than obsess over past mistakes.

This is one of those times when you should listen to the voices in your head.

God, my head is *killing* me.
This, on the other hand, is not. Do you need a machete (to be used on someone else) or Excedrin more, MM?

Dude, I was walking and had potty trained myself by age 1. Everything's a disappointment after that

Damn, girl, that IS overachieving. I think I'd be a little freaked out by a child like that, like "Who replaced my baby with a freaky alien changeling??"

I get my work stuff on Friday, it looks like--they just sent me the UPS tracking numbers. Not just a laptop but a keyboard and screen and printer and all that, too! Whoot!

I was just trying to keep up with my brother who is 15 months older than me!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Dear Miracleborns, move to the West Coast. Do not argue with or attempt to thwart me in this, unless you really really want to get the Very Stern Letter where I explain what is best for you.

As for the Curse of the Gifted Child: pfffft, whatever. I'm totally not living up to my early potential, and I'm fine with it. I'm happy. In fact, my younger self would probably think my current life is pretty keen. Well, except for the part where I haven't become Queen of the Vampires or something like that, but even then I knew it was a pretty unrealistic dream.
