Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Wow, those pictures were very Yoni-esque for me. @@! Must be spring. Guess whats on my mind.

I always skip the part about "under god". I just take a beat between "nation" and "indivisible"
Me too! I did not succomb to the red scare. And feel it is anti-American in that it excludes those who do not believe in God. Or believe in multiple Gods. (I say this as I catch up on TiVo and watching "Banned From The Bible II")

Omnis, not a fan of salad? How is that possible, when there are so many varieties and so many of them are so glorious? I promise that if Zmayhem ever makes a road trip to LA I'll borrow someone's kitchen and whip you up a nice proper Greek salad (or possibly, for an extra healthiness kick, a Greek-spinach hybrid salad). So ridiculously good.
JZ, yes, there are good salads out there. I'm not a huge fan of leafy things. I find I like iceberg lettuce, because it typically is crisp with more moisture. Many salad types have all sorts of dressings that I really don't care for. Oil based ones don't sit well, vinegar is ick to me. And the creamy dressings, I dunno. Tend to gross me out somehow. Also hate mayonnaise so there goes potato(e) and pasta salads. I have no qualms with eating veggies raw or steamed alone. But, for whatever reason, not a big fan of salads. Not to say I don't eat them at all. But rare. Soups have a similar fate with me. So I tend to load up on the main course and ignore the pre-courses when eating out.

Yes. I is strange.

you and Dennis. He mostly hates veggies but he loves raw broccoli. I think raw broccoli tastes like dirt but I eat it anyway 'cause it's good for me.

It was strange in my household growing up. I was the only kid (of 3) that would eat my veggies with dinner. But hated salad. I would eat the carrots and cucumbers on the party platters, where my sister would dive into the chocolates. But no salad.

Good potato salad does not have mayonnaise in it.

That is all.

When we were young, my sister and I pretty much split up the foods - I'd eat veggies, but didn't like meat, she'd eat meat but wouldn't touch most vegetables. (of course, it may have had something to do with a lot of them being cooked until they were good and dead)
