I agree--oatmeal cookies are BEST with a mix of chocolate and butterscotch chips (the recipe says just butterscotch, but I find that too sweet)

Hi meara!

Naaaah. Maybe on the East Coast. Me, I just got back from teh grocery store. Need to send an email to the new boss in hopes of having a reply when I get up.

Let me rephrase myself, then: "American Buffistas of the maybe West Coast, if Shir is awake, this might just be the time to go to bed".

Hmm. True--I do need to be getting to sleep earlier than I have been (2 or 3AM) now that I have to get UP at a normal hour, too!

If I went to bed now, I'd miss the evening news. And they've been promising to tell me if men are repulsed by women with big brains.

Hi, Daisy Jane!

I understand. I, for one, couldn't live without this information. Please update!

I have just learned that society reinforces the stereotype that smart women don't get very far with men, but that that's not necessarily true according to the 2006 census, which says that women with degrees and high income are more likely to have a relationship (than those women without those things). However, less than 40 women are CEOs of Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies, which is only 2 1/2 percent. Also, women are more encouraged than men to look attractive at all times and to remember to promote other people over themselves in conversation. Also, of the random people they interviewed on the street, I got the distinct impression that every last one of them believed themselves to be smart, both the men and the women, and yet not a single one of them was actually physically attractive.

Interesting.

Then society's sending mixed messages again? Sure, this is news.

I want to know why society doesn't urge men to look pretty at all times and to promote others in conversation. I think this task can be handled by both sexes.

Also, it's really past my bed time, but since I was in a Nyquil fog all day, I don't really want to be sleepy now. Darn it. Darn Mondays.

They're men. According to society, they're not capable of doing more than one thing at once.

Which brings up the questions, who's this society anyway? Is it pretty? Can I hit it? Is it edible? What does it want from me? Are you my mommy?

Good night, Alibelle, and feel better!

Hmm. I wonder what census info they were using. More likely to be married? To be married or have a live-in boyfriend? What about us queers? What about all the babymamas out there, is that better or worse than being a single college educated woman with no boyfriend at all? Oh, the dilemmas!!
