I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We left early, but not because of the holiday. We're moving to new office space, so everything is packed up.

I'm considering restarting, after 23 years, my thumbsucking habit.

Everything is going to hell in a handbasket here.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My boss just called to let me know I could go home an hour early, which is nice, since I came in extra early (for me) at 8:30. Traffic will still be a pain at 3:30, but hopefully not as bad as it could be and I'll still get home before 4:00 (for a five-mile drive).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Everything is going to hell in a handbasket here.

Are you steering the handbasket, or along for the ride? Can you take pictures?

I really want half a hamburger. It seems wasteful to get one for lunch knowing that's all I want to eat, and disgusting to get one and eat more.

And I'm pretty sure sharing's not an option.

Turns out I don't have to make the 3-4 meeting, which is good. Still think I'll be working the full day, but at least it will be at my desk.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

So I just finished grading that project. Now to decide whether or not to curve.

So the faculty field trip got back at 2:30, and the principal told them they could go ahead and go home. She really doesn't think we work on faculty work days, does she? Bizarre.

Oh, and they DID go to the safari park. Curses! Someone must come visit me so we can go. Possibly someone with medium-to-small children.

Along for the ride. It is pretty much mostly of the "you have got to be kidding me!" variety, with a side of "this is really not looking good."

I've got the power to do something about the first (saying, are you KIDDING me? No, we can't do that, end of discussion) and the second is something I'm helpless to do anything about.

We're behind schedule, can't be behind schedule, but really? Behind schedule.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, sara.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh indeed. I hope your landing is cushioned.

Okay, that's it. Off to find half a burger.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I've only been at work for 2½ hours, and I'm bored out of my skull.
