I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I dislike getting manicures and pedicures but I love the outcome of pedicures so much that I'll endure it. I do not want strange hands on me. See also: massages. I've never had one and it sounds like the most awful thing EVAH! Some stranger on my naked parts! NOOOOO!!!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I love pedicures, but only get them in the summer. And I doubt I'd do it if I lived somewhere where they weren't cheap.

When I get mani I always get them cut short and painted something neutral. That seems low-maintenance and professional-looking to me.

That's what I would be going for with the fakes. Versus my current classy bitten look.

I do the "active length". Sometimes they are very confused when I want the short acrylics. Most people get the acrylics so that they can maintain length. I just want them not to break and for the polish to stay on.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I don't bite so I may be confused. Do you still bite them if they're cut really short? I get them cut as short as possible.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Also, I know I have said this here before, but we have a sys admin head named Dick GoDown. His daughter, Heather, oddly works here too, and she procures live pelvic models (people who are paid to have students practice giving pelvic exams) and live proctology models.

OK, I have to send this to my comedian friend. This is the stuff she loves to include in her act.

Vortex, I'm with you on wanting the acrylic to maintain the polish. My nails are fairly strong on their own; however, with acrylic overlay I can keep the polish for 2-3 weeks.

I bite them shorter than they could be cut.

giraffe mode

Jesse I had the same problem and my nails are pretty thin so they break easily even when they were short. The acrylics stop me from biting them and they don't break under normal circumstances. I keep mine pretty short because I type all day but I don't bite them any more.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Dear Overlords of the Fashion Industry, thank you for making black nail polish "in". No longer do ElderGoths have to stock up on their preferred color every October.

All Hail OPI.
