Do you still bite them if they're cut really short? I get them cut as short as possible.

I bite them shorter than they could be cut.

Jesse I had the same problem and my nails are pretty thin so they break easily even when they were short. The acrylics stop me from biting them and they don't break under normal circumstances. I keep mine pretty short because I type all day but I don't bite them any more.

True. I'm wearing a very dark, redish-purpley-black polish by them right now. (the color is "Black Cherry Chutney" from their India collection) It is wonderful.

Jesse, the drawback is trying to find time to get to the salon but my nail lady only works 3 days a week..woe is me!

China Glaze. Plei gave me a bottle of their black polish, and it is FANTASTIC.

I don't bite, but like Dawn have very thin and tearable nails (ack, just typing that sent chills up my spine. Hates it, I do!) I've been giving myself manicures with fake nails from target or wherever for over a decade. Takes about an hour to soak them off in acetone and put on new ones. $5 while I sit watching tv or reading (while soaking.) Cheap and doesn't require the peoples.

sarameg, I swear if I could do that I would but man, I suck at trying to get everything even. I'm so totally uncoordinated I can't even paint my own nails without having polish go everywhere. It's like a 2 year old painted my nails, and fingers, and sometimes even my pants.
