Clooney said he refrained from appealing because he didn't want to appear to be feuding with the guild during the run-up to the strike.
Yeah, I get why he didn't appeal, but appealing would have given the WGA a shot at evaluating the fairness of the original decision. As noble as it may have been for him not to appeal at the time, turning around and condemning the entire organization
without giving them a chance to evaluate the "bad" determination
not only has the exact opposite effect, but it undoes the nobility of the original gesture. Usually I'm pretty happy with stuff I read about Clooney, but this just seems petty.
I taught someone to knit at lunch. She's all happy and excited and is going to try to teach her 6 year old daughter tonight. Now I need to finish my long standing WIP and get going on a new project. hmm.
Speaking of knitting, my friend is making this

for our friends' baby due in May. In a deep purple. It is unbelievably cute!!!
OMG, I want to make these. [link] I will save this pattern for using up scraps.
I have a baby sweater that is almost done - I just need to sew up the sides and block it. I'm so excited because this is the most complicated thing I've ever knitted and it looks totaly sweaterish.
holy crap, those nautili (sp?) are adorable!
I can imagine the baby tank on a baby. Just not mine. But baby clothes are more gratifying to knit because they go so quickly.
I showed the first disc of
Wonderfalls
to a friend tonight. God, what a great show.
On the DVDs, "Pink Flamingos" is episode 2 instead of episode 4. What's the correct order? It felt weird to watch it in that order. Darrin's leg healed pretty quickly, I guess (but now that I think about it, I don't think he was wearing a cast in "Crime Dog" either).
Also, has anyone heard from Lilty Cash?
Ooh, I just found her on Facebook.
I've only watched them in DVD order but I have thought they didn't play quite right in the middle.
wait... were only four episodes broadcast?
Maybe it's in the Wonderfalls thread, but isn't there an official order per Tim? I'm too lazy to look but I do seem to remember that.
P-C-
As I understand it, the order on the DVDs was the correct order. Fox, in its wisdom aired them out of order. Does this sound familiar?
