Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I just finished working on some scenes that might possibly be the craziest complicated emotional stuff I've ever done. And, as a bonus, incredibly creepy too!
I'm never getting to sleep tonight.

For the crafting thread:
I can't remember, does msbelle crochet [link] or knit [link] ?
e (repeatedly) t fiddle with formatting.
Those are fun!
Aren't they great? I couldn't help myself, I just bought:
I wanted a "special" hook for a tricky project I'm about to start - and there it was...a present for me to make a present for someone else.
In the crafty vein. I'm still trying to finish my Xmas presnt for my grandmother. I was going to make both her and my aunt fingerless gloves. The pattern deals with yarn overs and what not. I'm using bamboo yarn for Grandma's. The whole combo of the yarn and the pattern has beaten me. I thought I was ready to start the thumb gusset and took out the finished glove to make sure they'd line up.
I realized I made a whole mess of the bottom pattern somehow and need to rip it out and restart the project. AGain. This is probably the twelfth time completely restarting this pair. I can't do it anymore. I hate the yarn. I hate the pattern. I don't even want to knit anymore with this over me.
So I'm going to the knitting stitch and bitch tonight to bitch and maybe come up with another idea.
Yeah, sounds like that project needs a time-out.
I have another idea. I'm making a shawl for my grandma. I'm going to do the finishing bits on the gloves for my aunt and send them to her.
The shawl is kind of harder -it's sock yarn on size 7 needles, but it's fairly straight forward. The pattern calls for yarn overs which I've had issues with but there's a variation with Make 1 instead so that's what I'm doing. It's this pattern [link]
That's a great pattern! What color(s) are you thinking?
I guess "yarn over" must mean something different in knitting? 'Cuz I do it all the time in crochet, and I'm not very accomplished...
The yarn over part it's that hard, but then I but knitting into the yarn overs that I've struggled with. With the fingerless gloves ( this is the pattern [link] I really struggled with knitting into the yarn over.
Yarning over in knitting doesn't create a closed knit stitch it's sort of draped over the needle and you have to knit into it. I've had issues with knitting into it wrong or with them sliding off the needle while I was trying to knit.
Making a knit stitch creates a closed loop so when you go to the next row to knit into it's like a regular knit stitch.
Askye, make one changed my life. YO is useful for making lace, but as an increase method it is not optimal, because it creates a hole by its nature
