so hive mind question for knitters-
Does anyone know of a pattern (preferably vintage) for a woman's dress that's A line and short sleeve and falls below the knee?
There was a customer in the yarn ship today looking for one, she's getting married this summer and wants to knit her own dress (if the pattern is simple enough).
2 pages of wedding dresses on Ravelry.
Is this the kind of thing she's looking for?
I am pretty sure there are several in the Good Housekeeping Needlecraft Magazines from the early 70's, but I don't have them anymore.
Actually, I lied- it is the McCall's Needlworks and Crafts from the early 70's She might like this one: [link]
She's looking for something a lot simpler-
something more like this [link] but for an adult.
She's going to make it herself and she's not sure she can handle lacework. The vintage part seemed important, so something that either is or looks vintage.
How is she at sizing up things?
I would still suggest the same magazines. There were kajillions of dresses in them.
I don't know about sizing up. I'll recommend that to Katy who runs the yarn shop.
I'd point the woman in the direction of where to search but she doesn't own a computer.
