Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah, the genetic alterations stuff is weird, but given a sufficiently advanced technology I suppose beaming some kind of radiation that can cause slow genetic changes as well as hallucinations isn't that unbelievable. Unless Beta suddenly lost as much mass as all those plants gained, however, it might as well be yelling "abracadabra!" and waving a magic wand.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

It isn't slowing genetic changes though is it? That would seem a bit more believable.

But yeah, I think this is magic wand territory.

Maybe the useless astronaut's sleeping quarters are gone...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Maybe it has an energy to mass conversion thingummy going on. And it has been able to generate energy just fine.

ABC says Defying Gravity isn't cancelled. Yeah, sure. Just mostly cancelled.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Defying Gravity is so frustrating! Nothing they've told me really makes sense, but I must know what they have up their sleeves in Pod 4.

I don't quite get what was so wondrous about the tomato plants. I mean, that rapid growth is amazing and all, but was that supposed to be more fractally than a normal tomato plant somehow? I don't get it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I thought it was just that they grew in repeating patterns in the course of like 3 hours.

I'll put it down to sounding more significant than it was, I guess.

Eta: the portrayal of the training program makes me so angry, I get prickly about some of the details that I should probably not worry about.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Fringe starts again this Thursday, right?

Our wings are not tired.

Indeed it does! I am really looking forward to seeing my Fringe friends again. Random note, it is one of the better looking shows on the big HD screen. I miss Walter; he had better be all right.

All is well that ends in pizza.
