'Safe'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I guess we're supposed to believe that going to "Tesla" automatically gets you in.

She not only goes there, doesn't she excel there?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I guess we're supposed to believe that going to "Tesla" automatically gets you in.

That was my assumption, pretty much. But this:

"and MIT doesn't have a medical school therefore look, robotics instead!"

seems like the kind of statement that should get Poochie Jr automatically expelled from any logic courses he's taking.

This ep stretched scientific credulity in the service of some pretty ham-handed storytelling. I don't mind when the science is idiotic in service of a good narrative, but the ice metaphors going on this week had me banging my head against the couch.

So does anyone know of any further legit airings of Defying Gravity in the US? Will we have to grab it from our Northern Brethren, who are at least going up to 11, and then run a joint raid on the ABC offices for the last two?

Because right there is a pissy place to leave us.

Yeah... the un-turnable, 100yard truck was the first one that got me that week. I think I was 6 and using my Hot Wheels when I discounted that as a viable truck design.

Joe directed that one.

So that means we have one left.

I'm excited for the last ep actually.... in an actor-y way. There were some good scenes - I think..... I am scared to admit.

I stop shooting in two days. Looking forward to seeing what a mess I have on my hands in editing.

Our wings are not tired.

Ah, I don't look for sense making science in Eureka. It would be exceptionally cool if it happened, but it is a new talking point now. What was the most absurd science this week?

Good on Joe with the directing. It was great to see Taggart again. I can't say I'm looking forward to the last ep because it has been fun to watch the show again.

Effortless editing!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita,

I think you and I might be the only ones still watching it here!

from twop, I'm gathering that we will have to acquire it from our northern brethren. I heard reports that 13 eps were completed, but I not heard this from network sources.

I suppose the final eps might be burned off at hulu.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hiya Cferg -- while the 'science' annoyed, the characters and acting kept me there, so no worries. Good luck with the editing, which is hard enough work for a three minute vid, let alone a coherent episode!

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I think I was 6 and using my Hot Wheels when I discounted that as a viable truck design.

Oh CFerg, you are so totally one of us.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

CFerg! Long time no see (well okay I get to see you weekly, but that's not the same thing at all).

It's so cool that you are directing now. A whole new headache I suspect, but that can be good. I do hope that everything comes together in editing. I heard someone once describe himself as a post junkie because that was where everything comes together.

Compassionately intolerant

Defying Gravity: I hadn't heard that we were being left at all much less at THAT point.

I suppose I can be cosmopolitan and let go of my need for completion, but if that sort of cliffhanger isn't in a foreign film, I sort of resent it.

Plus, I'm annoyed that a total waste of screen time like Mental got a full run but shows that I actually like...well, fill in the rant.
