I thought Allison was just on maternity leave, as in fer reals.
That's a good question about the freezing, ita. But then again, everyone in GE seems to be alive. I guess the ish was access to a warm coat?
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Oddly, there were those metallic emergency blankets at Cafe Diem. Or really large and flexible sheets of foil.
I'm going to try and not think about the science. Because if memory serves it was fungus that made ice grow more. And that's a bit....huh. I'm just impressed that the rampant ice growth completely failed to touch the core and mess it up. And impressed that the truck that brought it never had to turn any corners.
never think about the science on eureka. DH isn't allowed to watch unless he has practiced his handwavium
Poochie was gone for 4 weeks and they chose to set NO epsiodes during that time? Oh, the humanity!
The ice-producing fungus reveal was where I cut my losses. Not even for Taggart's return, producers.

The joke(s) there is(are) so obvious that....can't do it.
Eureka: It feels like somebody once explained physics to the writers, like when they were 8 or so, and they've been extrapolating on the vague memory of it ever since.
The worst part is that they don't even throw in a flobotanum mention that could save things from looking sooo stupid. Like that Zane's freezing apparatus also included some sort of dimensional hand-wavey thing that would account for the truck turning corners and such.
The arctic has not been continuously frozen for hundreds of millions of years.
Human existence would not take up only 18 inches of an ice core.
Since it's summer in Eureka during this episode, it's summer in the Arctic. An Arctic that each season gets closer to being ice free.
If they want an impressive ice core, take it from Antarctica.
Where'd the truck come from, and how did it get from the Arctic to eureka without being seen?
people stop asking questions -- just look at the pretty people and hope nothing bad happens to most of them
