P-Brane made a point that they were stuck in the elevator only going to what floor someone pressed because they were too intangible to press buttons. Didn't clear up that they weren't too intangible to fall through the floor--why bring my attention to fixing half a problem?
And pretty much everything they said sounded not just wrong, but aggressively gibberishly and uninventively impossible.
For that matter they should have been able to walk out through the elevator doors and take the damn stairs to whatever floor they wanted, if only horizontal surfaces underfoot were solid to them.
Is this where we discuss Being Human? Is anyone else watching it?
Makes sense to me to put it here. I've seen it already.
I am really not a fan of Annie. I called the whole Owen abuse/murder thing pretty early. She's kind of a mess.
George has some good qualities, but his neurosis is often overplayed. He does small moments well, which makes me wonder if he's being directed broadly.
I was very unhappy with Mitchell turning the little kid. He's doomed to live his life as a child, that's no way to be (I mean, we all see how Claudia turned out). I'm surprised that the mother allowed it, it was a very selfish decision on her part.
The series picks up around this point, I'd say, Vortex, as a bigger arc swings into gear.
I love Annie, though. I also called the whole murder thing, but I like the way she deals with it, or at least realizes that she has to deal with it.
I was wondering if anyone was watching it. I've already seen it, but was catching it again. Aside from this past episode--it made me sufficiently uncomfortable (the child abuse allegations more than turning the child, which I can totally see Mitchell doing) that I didn't want to see it again. But I'm back on the ride with the next ep.
I really love Being Human. Episode four was rather uncomfortable, but it looks like they're going to some interesting places next time.
I completely agree about the kid episode and not loving Annie in the beginning. And. Things pick up significantly from that point.
Having watched the entire series 3 or 4 times, the finale makes me love the previous episodes so much more than I did on first viewing. I can't think of another show for which that is true for me.
George's line about "being human" absolutely kills me. I rewind and watch it several times with each viewing.
