'Heart Of Gold'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I really didn't think (and hope it doesn't mean) it had anything to do with Jack's DNA. The only magical hopes I had for his lineage would have been Stephen coming back to life, and since that didn't pan out, don't mess with Rhys. He doesn't deserve it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Of course, if Stephen DID come back and I were his Mother there's no way in hell I'd be telling Jack.

Yeah, but RTD is every bit as bad as Joss about the HEA for characters. He just doesn't do happy and contented terribly well.

I think giving Gwen a weird baby with Jack would belie Gwen's "Normal human with a life" status that makes her so valuable to dealing with the weirdness.

Which is a choice, of course. It'll be interesting to see where they go.

I don't mean that Rhys doesn't deserve it in any sort of a woobie way--I mean the character would be ill-served by it.

I would tend to agree, ita. After all, we've already exhausted the tomcats going at each other in an alley attitude between Rhys and Jack and he's already proven that he can function well as an adjunct member of the team. That he understands Gwen's strengths even though he may not like the situations it puts her in. He's actually the most human of the lot of them, even more so than Gwen.

But you just never know what Russell is cooking up in his twisted little brain.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Would Russell be staying on on TW? I know he's leaving Who.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, he's expressed that he'll remain on board with Torchy.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

There was a shot of Henry's ship against the blue sky that looked like the shot of Serenity during Book's flashback in Out of Gas. And Zane's organic computer was very Cylon tech.

I'm liking that bringing Tamlyn back doesn't reset or undermine Kim's death. I still remember the kraxy on the skiffy boards after Once in a Lifetime.
