I ahemed Being Human when it aired in the UK. I rather liked it, although mostly for the characters rather than the plot. George and Annie, in particular, are very endearing.

Wow, Primeval sure ended on a sucky cliffhanger, which, if I cared all that much about the characters, would really be frustrating.
Being Human was less funny than I'd hoped it would be, but fascinating all the same. Of course, I missed the first ten minutes because my roommate didn't check to see that the TiVo was on the right channel, so I'm missing the intro that one hopes explained the setup, like HOW they decided to share a flat....

I really enjoyed Being Human. It was just pleasant, and I liked the characters, and I wasn't feeling any of the "I kind of like this but..." that I get so often with new shows.

I liked it. I can't remember precisely what happens in which episode, but I do like that the vampire, for all his protestations about wanting to be good seriously can't keep it in his pants. I don't think I've seen that in an onscreen vamp protagonist.

Compassionately intolerant
I really enjoyed Being Human. In fact, I watched the last two episodes of the first season again last night. For about the 5th or 6th time.
The characters really drew me in and the performances get richer and more nuanced as the eps unfold.
George, in particular, becomes so much more than the comic relief as events progress. He's very Oz-like in my heart.

A very good sign: I came away remembering that the protagonists were named Mitchell, George and Annie. That's a sign of good writing and characerization, if I can retain names easily.

It wasn't the most exciting thing that's ever been on TV, but I liked it in a 'comfort TV' way. Funny, witty writing.
