A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Torchwood was just ugly. I loved Ianto's brother-in-law, though. And I totally pegged him for fighting off the coppers and army to protect all those kids, when push came to shove.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And the guy who played Dekker was icky when he came up with the solution that would kill Stephen. He looked too smug.

Didn't he actually SAY "that kid'll fry"? My stomach actually heaved a couple of times. That was one.

That whole thing was incredible.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, I turned to Lewis and said "Of all the really disturbing things in this episode, that was the one thing that really made me want to go medieval." It wasn't just smug, he looked downright gleeful, like he couldn't wait to see it. Kind of reminded me of the mad scientist character that Brent Spiner played in ID4, after everything's been blown to hell and he says it's "very exciting" that the ship is exhibiting signs of life. Except that character was oblivious after being shut away for so many years working on the project. Dekker was most assuredly not oblivious. He was just an evil SOB.

And yeah, ita, the fact that it turned out to be just a massive drug deal was something else. Although, in a way, the clues were there. Their main power was in viruses and anti-viruses. And in the children, they'd found something they couldn't recreate. And really had the net effect of making the PM come off like the nasty corner pusher.

About Eureka - I love, love, love the scene at the end where Jack confronts Allison about "what's coming". That was perfect. I'm less crazy about Lexi's big reveal to Duncan - because just lifting the magic-techno baby-bump hiding shirt without a word of explanation about the material is unreal. Also, at this point, what are the chances that Duncan's two plus two comes up with five?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Eureka: In the beginning I was really hoping that Nathan was trapped in another dimension and coming back.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Oh me too, sj!

Yeah, an "I have something you should know: I'm pregnant and it's yours" and then to ensure that he doesn't think it's not possibly his, shirt flip. The whole avoidance thing was awful, although Fargo finding a friend was cool.

Also, didn't Eureka used to be hidden away. Like, you make a right turn into what appears to be a dead end and then you're whooshed through an invisible portal into Eureka? Am I misremembering? What ever happened to that?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The producers seem to have 'forgotten' about that on account of the SFX costing too much.

My hand-wave is that there's a regular "long" way to Eureka that gets marked on maps, but several hidden shortcuts that are protected with various disguises.

The science was awful this time, but I thought Carter's chemistry with Tess was good, and she's able to match him wisecrack to wisecrack amazingly well. Best chemistry yet, I think.

I think the town itself is remote and hard but not impossible to find - Carter stumbled on it accidentally by having a car accident (which I think the super-smart mutant dog caused on purpose), so when he and Zoe had to walk to the nearest town to find a mechanic, they walked into Eureka. It is the Global Dynamics compound that is actively hidden behind optical (hologram?) illusion.

Ahhh, thanks.
