Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

'Underneath'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I'm less crazy about Lexi's big reveal to Duncan - because just lifting the magic-techno baby-bump hiding shirt without a word of explanation about the material is unreal.

Also, didn't Eureka used to be hidden away. Like, you make a right turn into what appears to be a dead end and then you're whooshed through an invisible portal into Eureka? Am I misremembering? What ever happened to that?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The producers seem to have 'forgotten' about that on account of the SFX costing too much.

My hand-wave is that there's a regular "long" way to Eureka that gets marked on maps, but several hidden shortcuts that are protected with various disguises.

The science was awful this time, but I thought Carter's chemistry with Tess was good, and she's able to match him wisecrack to wisecrack amazingly well. Best chemistry yet, I think.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I think the town itself is remote and hard but not impossible to find - Carter stumbled on it accidentally by having a car accident (which I think the super-smart mutant dog caused on purpose), so when he and Zoe had to walk to the nearest town to find a mechanic, they walked into Eureka. It is the Global Dynamics compound that is actively hidden behind optical (hologram?) illusion.

Ahhh, thanks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't have any problem with any of the performances, but I thought the script and plot sucked from beginning to end, except perhaps for Fargo making a connection with another human being for the second week in a row, and the service done to the alien overarching plotline.

The science--oh, the idea that they had to ride in the elevator until someone hit the correct button made my eye roll muscles hurt. That whole thing was a pile of steaming stink. And the sister's hidden pregnancy subplot was a bunch of stupid too.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

It is the Global Dynamics compound that is actively hidden behind optical (hologram?) illusion.

Thanks so much. I couldn't remember why people were able to come and visit Carter and Zoe.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I just realized that Daisy from Spaced is Joan Redfern from Doctor Who's "Human Nature" & "Family of Blood".

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

She was also nominated for a Tony this year--I was started to see her appear during the ceremony!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

nods

Isn't she lovely?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm just watching Primeval and they're trying to conjure up an air of jeopardy and all I can think is "so, what? You're going to kill Ianto or something?" They so do not possess the plotting chops nor the character investment.
