You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

In the "sneak peeks" after the episodes RTD looks particularly Iantoish to me. Do we think this is guilt? Or that Ianto is an RTD Sue?

I'm loving this alien, btw. Sooooooooo much better than the "new shape of forehead ridge" approach.

Last night I had two thougths rolling through my head. (And one that came out when I yelled "BITCHES!" at the screen when Lydia let them have it.)

The first was:

Where is the Doctor? He needs to show up NOW!

The second:

Why don't the 456 just take some children? Why do they keep asking? Whatever the reason is must be a pretty exploitable weakness.

Who is Lydia?

I'm getting her name wrong. Ugh. And I'm afraid I'll be spoiled if I Google. L____ Habbiba. Their gal on the inside.

Lois! She rules.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

She rules a lot.

When she was demonstrating her awesome, I kept thinking "if she makes it through this (this was after doctor dude died), the team's gonna be heavily female."

Please don't read that as any kind of spoiler.

Ianto's sister also rocks. This show is good with the good women.

And the bad woman reminds me of Cass. Um, not that Cass is bad.

Well, the writing's on the wall from the chip shop. I wanted her to be the new Torchwood PA, but not if Ianto's not THERE!!!!

“Not dead yet!”

I'm getting the impression that can't physically do a lot other than spew green shit and let loose viruses. They have to have the children come to them, or at least come within range so they can suck them up with the flashing beam of light. They're clearly using the children as some sort of life support. I just don't think they're that physically capable/proactive.

Yeah, me either.

Which means the people who built the enclosure-tank-thing were IDIOTS to not build in a way to destroy it. Or maybe they did -- the guy who looks spookily like John Spencer may have survived in his HazMat suit. (Leo McGarry would NEVER put up with this shit, btw.)

Oh, and I love that the 456 DID know that Clem was watching. And I'm suspecting they left him behind for a reason other than some pubes.
